Illustration
Crafted illustrations using a combination of acrylic paint, charcoal, and graphite, with a primary focus on exploring the rich and diverse cultures of Indonesia while documenting the significant political events that have shaped the nation's history. These works also delve into the deeply concerning issue of the mass slaughter of Indonesia's most majestic animals, driven by the demand for consumer products and business profits. Through this visual exploration, I aim to highlight the devastating environmental consequences of such actions, particularly the destruction of Indonesia’s lush forests—vital ecosystems that serve not only as homes to these endangered animals but also as living spaces for indigenous tribes whose cultural heritage is intricately tied to the land. By weaving together the narrative of cultural loss, political turmoil, and environmental degradation, my illustrations aim to provoke a deeper understanding and reflection on the complex interplay between economic development, environmental preservation, and social responsibility.
